CHEESECAKE SWEET AND EASY

Nana's cheesecake recipe is a family treasure but not an easy task. This recipe is one with which the occassional baker will find success. It's a good holiday table topper and goes fast.


INGREDIENTS:

1 CUP GRAHAM CRACKER CRUMBS
3/4 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
1/4 CUP PLUS 2 TABLESPOONS MELTED BUTTER
1 1/2 CUP SOUR CREAM
2 EGGS
2 TEASPOON VANILLA
1 POUND CREAM CHEESE BROKEN INTO SMALL PIECES


PROCESS:
Blend cracker crumbs,1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup melted butter and line the bottom of an 8" or 9" ungreased springform pan
Blend the sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar.eggs and vanilla in a food blender for one minute
Add cream cheese and blend until smooth
Pour 2 tablespoon melted butter through the top of the machine and blend 1 minute
Pour mixture into springform pan and bake in lower third of 325 degree oven for 45 minutes
When baking is finished remove from oven and turn oven to broil
Broil cheesecake just until the top begins to show attractive spots of brown
Refrigerate four hours,preferably overnight before cutting and serving
